The annual boat race in the village was once again well supported, we had a couple of the theatre actors shooting the rapids on the River Mersey in full costume, they both seemed to be throughly enjoying themselves.

Northenden’s forgotten pioneer was rembembered during a week’s celebration of his life in Manchester when we hosted a one act play, performed by local school children and historian Geoff Scargill of the ‘Watkin Society’.
The play highlighted one of many of Edward Watkin’s amazing visions which he delivered during his lifetime.

Return of the QUIZ night at the theatre with the auditorium filled with eager teams of “Quizzers” awaiting to be crowned 2023 champions.
